!!!!their Missing!!!!! Please Tell Me Their Ok! UPDATE. Their Back!!!

Periodically we have hens that go AWOL. I do a beak count every night and they always seem to pick the dreariest, coldest, most inclement weather possible to "forget" to go to bed. My kids and I prowl through the bushes and in pine trees...almost always finding those MIA. A few times we couldn't...

Hi everyone! There are so many people on here from Ohio! I live just north of Delaware between Radnor and Prospect on an old farm. Love it out here! We got our first set of chicks from TSC and a few others here and there. We met Mark and Cathy who breed a lot of different types of chickens...

The rest of the eggs were store bought eggs that we all know sat around in storage before ending up at the grocery...

All of our dogs think they are lap dogs, from the smallest to the largest. Here is Ireland. He's our Irish Wolfhound. He is wonderful with the chickens. We had to have a heart to heart talk when I caught him trying to pluck the tail feathers from one of our roosters. He's never tried to touch...

Who had to BUY eggs this week? mad mad mad....

Quote: I had to buy a couple of dozen for the same reason. Then had to hard boil some of "OUR" eggs and show the kids how difficult it is to peel super fresh eggs compared to peeling the elderly store bought eggs.
