That's concerning, I want my chickens to be healthy
Think I'll try just in general trying to give them food/supplements for immunity and add in some homeopathics
I've used them on animals before and I can safely mass treat them that way since they're totally safe even if the animals isn't sick
What is it and what should I do about it?
It was below where my chickens perch and it wouldn't be the first time they tried to lay on the perch so I think it's a failed egg
No fish or soy was just the first thing that came up on google when I looked up what was best, not sure why the soy though fish makes more sense since I don't think chickens would naturally be able to get fish
When I was looking up about feed it said to avoid fish and soy, but every brand says soy or mystery source
Any advice on what brands are safest and best for laying hens? I don't have the time right now to try to make feed from scratch
I mostly want to know if it's worth planting since it has grown in some random dirt pots I had set around, idk if it has been around in my yard with my last flock since I also had a goat then and they eat most things
I have what I believe to be Canadian clear weed
I have a small area that was dirt outside my coop that I'm trying to fill with weeds I've pulled from my garden and other I didn't want them
If this is what I think it is and if it is safe for chickens to eat then I think I'll plant it there
If...
I figured the collars would be rather loose, and I figured break away in case they did catch on something, or loose enough they can pull their head out with minor ruffled feathers
I was figuring that it wouldn't be much different from when my cats get their collars off
Is there an age when...
My family have raised chickens for awhile but this is the first time I'm taking lead on raising up a flock after the last of our old flock passed from old age
I have 8 hens (hopefully) they are not yet full grown and still just small enough to hold with one hand (though for the 4 oldest and...
I was thinking of using collars on my hens as more of a decorative and identification thing
I figure if I got break away kitten collars that those would be safest, and if they don't seem to break easy enough I planned to cut away some of the plastic
Would these collars be safe? Are there any...
