    Combining two groups of chickens - I can't take the stress!!!

    I've done it and it still works. I made the mistake of introducing a hen too soon during the day and she got attacked. So I waited a few days and snuck her in at night and she integrated right into my flock with no problems. :)

    After they've all gone to bed and its nice and dark I put my new members in with the flock in the coop. They don't seem to really take notice of the new members since they're busy trying to sleep. I then wake up extra early the next morning to check on them to see if they're integrating okay...

    I have no idea what type of chicken this is. It came with my Easter eggers but it looks nothing like my others. I'm also thinking it might be a rooster. It's about 8 weeks old. It's not crowing but it is fighting with my Easter egger rooster

    When you go to make the new introductions I've found it helpful after you let them see each other for a while to introduce them at night time with a lot of birds. Of course you need to rise early that day to make sure things are going well come morning time. I've had a lot of success that way...
