I wonder if you experts know what this is. Turkey has a large sack around the breast area, doesn't seem to be causing any pain. It's very large, i can't wrap my hands around it. The sac is squishy not hard.
Edit: Could it be sour crop? Is it treatable without surgery?
Eggbert is right, they won't match up. You can still mix them if you want, they should be able to interbreed, they belong to the same genus. I'll attach a study, I didn't read the whole thing, but the offspring should be fertile...
When you introduce them do so slowly, they will create a pecking order (one will be the boss), just watch to see if they're friends and not that one is bullying the other.
You should still get another duck, chickens and ducks have different ideas of fun. She won't die though, but I think for her happiness I would get another one.
11 kits previous litter, 2 died from starvation. This litter that's all blobs is 4 months after her 'first' litter. Meaning first that she had with me, previous owner said she had kits before.
She was moved maybe 6 weeks ago to a new location. None of them seemed mummified i think. She isn't in...
Hi,
Rabbit momma is due this week and I found one blob on Monday/Tuesday and 4 more blobs today...
They seem to be whole kits, but they don't seem to be fully formed... At least one kit was a wet gelatinous mess. This doe has already had a successful batch of kits before, I don't know why she...
Unfortunately, I have to move my poults. The 6' x 3' cage isn't large enough for them anymore, they make too much of a mess. I have a room where they can be moved to, except it has chickens in it. If I move them to the room with chickens and can make a partitioning for the turkeys and chickens...
As long as they're in the shade and have plenty of water, they should be ok. Ice bottles are also good if it's very hot. You can even have a dirt or sand container in there so they can sit in it and cool down.
Just watch for signs of over heating, beaks open, panting, not moving a lot.
