Okay, great! Thank you again :) I really could not find much information on this sort of thing, you're a great help! Will put them in separate cages next to each other for 48 hours to be safe; fingers crossed.
I have an 18 month old male button quail alone in his cage unfortunately (his missus died) but was wondering about introducing a new female quail or two. Or is it all right to leave him alone, for a bit? He keeps crowing and growling, etc. so don't think he likes it.
Also, do I have to worry...
Basically I have a single adult male button quail on his own, having been attacked by the rest of his old crew - I had to separate him because the other adult may took 'ownership' of the two resident females.
I'm hatching new button quails right now and I was just wondering if anyone had any...
Thanks, I will definitely keep trying this :D at the moment he isn't even acknowledging the treat at all, so i'll wait until he's hungry. Thanks a lot :)!
Thanks for the reply, nice video :) :). Well Doug definitely doesn't sound like that! So maybe he's a girl.. I really want to get to the bottom of this :D
Hi, this is my button quail, Doug (presumed a boy for the time being), who I have tried and tried to find out the gender of but failed :(. He's 10 weeks old and quite hyper like the males but he seems to be as big as my other female button quails though...so I have no idea :s.
I tried to check...
