    Yes I am really hoping my Golden Salmon Marans get nice feathered legs. They are just starting to get feathers on their legs now, we'll see. Here are a couple of not so great pics, but you can make them out. Taken at 15 weeks, two different cockerels.

    Did you post a pic of him before? At 19 weeks it should be very obvious if he's a Roo just based on his coloring. My FBCM pullets have almost no color other than black except one who has some copper in her hackles. The Roo on the other hand is striking. He is 20 weeks today. this was taken at...

    Sorry, slip of the thumb and my post went up unfinished. Good luck on your hatch. It is a rewarding learning experience and even the most educated and experienced with the best equipment have they're disappointments, so don't get discouraged.

    Did you calibrate the thermometer on the incubator? Meaning did you check it against a thermometer you knew was accurate? The thermometer Our Farm Innovations incubator is off by nine degrees

    Try golf balls in the nesting boxes to help them figure it out quicker.

    Finally got our sheep sheared today, we were waiting in the last Ewe to lamb. And I sold a couple of more roosters today, so weird. Other than some Dominique chicks we sold almost two months ago all we have sold is Roosters.
