Ok. We usually just let our hens hatch out their own and enjoy the fluffy result. Teenager decided to bring one indoors to watch and help it along. It was already pipping its way out. Now it's out of the shell, but still attached at its rear to the inner egg shell. Is this normal? Or not...

This turkey must have broken his leg when he was still quite young, but it is completely healed up now and he's done good getting around and all. But as he gets bigger and heavier, he seems unable to walk on the leg now. It twists sideways. Any suggestions? Thanks.
