Just wondering if you can keep 2 or more female buttons together with no fighting (no males since I don't want fertile eggs)
Also how big does the cage need to be to house 2 or 3 buttons?

I've been looking around, and seems like all automatic coop doors go vertically. Are there any that go horizontally that are cheap?? Also they can't be bulky.. not much space! Will post a picture of the coop later
The automatic coop door sounds good, but the only problem is that the coop door slides shut horizontally and the ones sold all go vertically! Any suggestions?
We currently have 4 hens, but will soon be moving to a neighborhood where chickens are prohibited. We would just bring them anyway, but they sing their egg song very LOUDLY at 6:30am, which would cause people to complain.
Is there any tricks to getting them to be quiet? I would like to try...

Cricket, our Welsummer pullet has multiple scabs and wounds on her comb, and we are unsure of the causes. It seems like they have been there for a few days because they are half-healed.

We also separated the Buff Orpington for the night, I put her in a large dog crate inside of the coop run for the night while the rest of the flock is inside the coop. Hopefully this will make a difference with her.
