    Slipped Tendon on guineas chick? advice?

    This little one is about 3 weeks old... Is this slipped tendon? It will limp on the leg and when I hold it, it does stretch it out. It will put weight on it, but then acts like we do when when put weight on a leg that hurts. I don't see any broken bones, to me it looks like the tendon slipped...

    Sorry to hear you hare having such a time. I had one self picking. Dewormer and adding fat and higher protein to her diet has helped. The dewormer, I used was also for horses, I read kills fly eggs as well as internal. May also have to use pinless peepers if it has become a habit.

    One of mine broken it's neck looked just like that, when it flighted in the broader, at 1 week old. They are now about 6 weeks old, in their outside pen. It walks funny, but so far it is still alive.

    I know this is an old thread, you should know I lost my hen that was being bullied. The vet said she was probably being bullied so bad because she had something wrong. May want to have the hen that is being bullied checked out.
