Help with coop size and flock numers

Hi all, After making through my first year with chickens and ducks we have decided to raise some quail for meat. I do not have a whole lot of room to work with so I will be needing to build the pen so that it is elevated and free standing. I want to start a flock of quail so that we can...

Just an idea....once a week I make the trip to town. I spoke with the manager at the local grocery store and worked up a deal. I get that days ripe fruit and veggies for 5 dollars a box. The food is still good enough to eat but may have a bruise etc...anyway I pick out the bad and put the rest...

    PVC feeder question.

I built the same feeder for my flock. I've had to add an extra piece of pipe about 4 inches long to the open end. Chickens still get go the feed bug stopped the waist.

    New to Guineas

Mine are quite large. They are excellent flyers as well as alarm clocks....they are very loud and always seemed spooked. I love them though.

Should I buy eggs or wait it out?

My birds are 21 weeks old and still no egss...today I bought some KFC and decided to eat it by the copp. My barred rocks were very interested in my food. We had a long talk about pulling your own weight around the home. I hope my pep talk turns into eggs soon.

Going to be a guinea mamma!

I sent go Lowes and bought two 4x8 pieces of damaged OSB for about 10 bucks a piece.....I then just sliced one in four strips and made some sides......worked great till they were ready for the coop.

Coop made from a metal shed with concrete beneath

I would go to Lowes or other hardware store and pick up a few concrete anchor with.simpson ties to attach it to the concrete just in case of high winds.
