I currently have them in a large plastic box but as there getting bigger they don't have enough space till I get them in there coop which unfortunately doesn't have power
I have tried sourcing an appliance box without much luck, why else do you think k would be suitable
Thanks
Currently using pine shavings and its around 3x5ft with 18 chicks
Really needing more space though but not sure what to house them in either until they are off the heat
Hi,
We are changing the chicks nearly every day, but they are really starting to smell, is there anything that can be done to reduce this?
Thanks very much
Hi
Thanks very much and goodluck with your hatch :-)
I have Buttons, Cortunix/Japanese quails at th e moment, and have a batch of chicks in at the moment testing out my new brinsea,
I think most of the issues I have had are down to the chinese no name incubators, I am hoping things are...
Hi yes I checked them regularly now I have 3 thermometers/hygrometers in the incubator and they all read the same
It is a Chinese no name incubator that I had these eggs in and the temperature is not stable compared to my new brinsea so I assume this has not helped :(
Thanks very much
They were put in on 2nd if this month, I didn't candle at day 18 temps been 37.5 and humudity 45 on day 18
I stopped turning and increased humidity to 70 it looks like he has died and has not fully formed
Only one has hatched and the other 10 have not :(
Hi
I have 12 Rhode Island Red X Light Sussex Eggs which are on day 22 today, how long should i leave them?
one has hatched and one other started trying to hatch yesterday but he seems to have stopped, there looks like a hard jelly on the egg, is this normal?
Thanks very much
its strange I had 3 out of 4 hatch from my own buttons, but ones I have ordered online have not been to good, I have some chicken eggs stuck in the delivery depot which I will have to pick up I am hoping I have a good time with these in the brinsea, unfortunately it is closed until tomorrow...
