    villainous ATTACK

I think it would be something small and vicious, otherwise they would have just taken off with the whole chicken. Raccoon? Maybe a fox?

    Hello from Santa Barbara!

Hey, my name is Maddie and I'm living in a sunny canyon in Carpinteria, California! I have a lot of chicken questions and backyard chickens is always the first site to pop up and answer my questions! I'm representing 5 lovely ladies who roam 7 acres of organic orchards all day, every day. We...

What breed is your friendliest chicken? Pictures of my curious birds!

Ha she looks so inquisitive! What a cutie. I have 2 Rhode Island Red's as well but they are the more timid of the bunch. They're so fast! I can't ever catch them.

Chicken survived a predator attack. Does anyone have advice on what steps to take

Thank you so much! I will take the steps you suggested. There are a lot of broken feathers stuck to her wounds. Luckily the wound on her neck is not near her crop, I think it is just a superficial wound, as are the wounds on her back.
