I would think it will adjust. (they have one-eyed race horses..."Patch" ran in the Kentucky derby as few years ago.)
I once have had a young tom with a bad leg. He always fell behind the flock...so I would pick him up and carry him to the others. Eventually, he compensated for the leg and...
I take the first couple eggs, "X" them with a marker and put them in the desired nesting box. Then limit their free range...usually they will adopt the box. I remove all the eggs each evening then replace X eggs back in the box the next morning. After 5 days I rotate in new "X" eggs.
I used a turkey tractor for several years. Kept 5 turkeys in a 8x10x6 with heavy duty wire, plastic roof panels, and some roll up curtains made from tarps for inclimate weather. I used a strap and my tractor to move it around the pasture. I made it 6 feet high because turkeys like to roost...

First time in 8 years a predator has made it into this pen. Killed a nice Cochin pair the night before inside the coop...looked like mostly for sport. Apparently climbed up the 8 fence and under the netting on top.
Turkey poults tend to be much more fragile than chicken chicks. Very sensitive to cold, drafts, dampness etc. I would monitor closely with the chicken hen. After a couple weeks they become hardier.
I start mine in a shallow water trough raised off the ground to reduce drafts, covered with screens, and lined with paper towels (which I will layer over numerous times as they mess them). After a couple weeks they move to a larger enclosure about the size of a refrigerator laid down with fine...
Zoomukeeper, I live further to the west in the panhandle, little less sand, same fire ants. 60x60 with 7 foot fence sounds like are great place for a couple of turkeys (and room to expand the flock once you get to love turkeys). You will need to clip their wings, a 7 foot fence won't phase a...
