    Black flecks

That could be a good possibility I hadn’t thought of. It’s weird I had never seen this before. But thanks for brining that up.

    Black flecks

Update on black flecks. On inspection the next morning there were very few black flecks in coop on poop board and none on roost. This makes it even more confusing but glad of the findings. Thanks for everyone’s input.

    Black flecks

Don’t think so. Hard to tell by pic but it’s very thin flat almost like dandruff flakes. My birds are Black Australorps but their skin isn’t black. Mose droppings are oblong round and pointy ends. Good guess tho.

    Black flecks

Went to coop this am to do daily chores and noticed black flecks or specks all over poop board and on roost. Looked all around and couldn’t see where it could have come from. Never seen this before. Egg production has been down since they have been molting. Any ideas?

    Watery poop

Feed is organic pellets. Fruit is not given that often. The last 2 weeks it’s been in mid 80’ to mid 70’s. We do give them mealworms every day.

    Watery poop

Every morning when I clean poop board in coop that houses 4 Black Australorps one end of the board has fairly large watery poop area. This has been going on for several weeks. They’re no sign of blood and the birds seem ok. They always have clean water and feed. Should I be concerned. Thanks in...

    Not laying

We have 4 black Australorps 17 months old. It has been really hot here in Va. and We have gotten one egg in last 4 days. Today I found a tiny egg in the run which they never have laid in the run before. Is it the heat causing this. Their water is changed everyday day and food topped off. Thanks...

    In coop a lot

We have four Black Australorps that are 11 weeks old and we’re introduced to coop/run 7 weeks ago. They are in the coop 75 % of the time. Is this normal? Note: food & water kept in run along with toys, perch and dust bath area. Thanks Rick
