    My daughter had this happen to her polish hen... the first time we just cleaned it up and it was fine for awhile and then it happened again.....We ended up getting her a friend and they are in a coop separate from the others...not sure if you can stop this from happening...

    This is our first year with chickens so I am finding all of the responses helpful.. I have 12 chickens in a 12 x 12 shed...
