    I would share with your neighbors as there are plenty of ’favors‘ that can be shared. For example my neighbor hauls my trash can up the road every week. Long driveway and big hill, he uses a golf cart. I give home 1-2 dz a week and he returns the carton. Just a thought.

    Summer coop prep

    I use a fan and a water mister in the covered run. Worked good last summer for their first summer. we have a lot of windows for the coop and they are only in there at night.

    Thanks, yes I’ve been reading a lot on how to handle. It’s been hit and miss the last couple weeks. He may be just going thru his teenager stage where he thinks he is smarter than me. lol Thanks for the other suggestions and I posted in the NC thread.

    Have a rooster about 8 months old. Been pretty mellow up to now. He has become very protective of the 8 hens and recently starting lunging at us. It may be a stage not sure but we have grandkids that visit and do not want to take a chance with him.
