Lost one of my brahma babies today from a dumb mistake I made. I have the housed in a cage and when I fed everyone yesterday I apparently didn't latch their cage and they got out. My adult birds killed the little room but the little girl managed to find herself a hiding place and survived...
I want her, what kind is she? Been trying to get my husband to let me get a goose. Not sure what kind though. Is it ok to raise/house a goose with chickens? I don't have a place to keep them separated.
They are one of my favs! So sweet and gentle, even the roosters. One of my goals is to have chocolate laced orpingtons too. I have a pair of chocolates and a pair of silver laced orps. So eventually I hope to have them.
I totally forgot about the EHAL. I've had my roosters separated for over a month. I just put my brahma hen in with my brahma rooster and my choc orpington hen with that rooster. Do you think their eggs will be fertile in time to set on March 26th? Sure hope so.
