    They ate some dead worms...

    Thats what I was thinking. I have 12 girls and they were all lined up digging through the poop. after I shooed them away i couldn't find any of the dead worms. There were probably a dozen of them or so they could have eaten. I'll boil the eggs and feed them to the pigs and dogs for the next 2 weeks

    I was outside earlier today and I found a stash of about 15 to 20 roaches outside my home. I quickly blasted them with some Raid wasp spray but before I could get it cleaned up about 10 Hens ran over and gobbled up the dying roaches. Does anyone have expirence with this?     Youngn's on layer?

    I have 2 girls that are about 22 weeks and other about 18 weeks. I'm expecting a 1st Egg anytime now from my 2 girls and I was going to start them on layer next week. Would it be alright of my younger girls got bumped down to layer also? Hey are on grower now.

    I have 14 week old RIRs and I still have them on starter grower . The nbag said it's formulated for chickens untill onset of egg production. When should I start them on layer crumbles? I hear most RIRs egg production starts @ 16 to 18 weeks. Thanks!

    I just haven't seen them eat or drink. they have food and water and iv dipped their beaks in the water and food and they smell it so both im sure they will be fine just stress for them i guess

    I got 2 new 4-6 week old BA chicks, they both are huddling w/ each other one one side of their makeshift box ( coop will be finished today..) they don't seem to be eating or drinking but they are lively.. they run around away from me and try to fly ... are they just stressed and will eat...
