    Perosis?

I got two lame chicks from a feed store last week (Thursday). I helped the one that had a splayed leg, and it walks good as new, the other however still hops around. I tried taping the legs together but noticed that it still hopped to get around. I see its leg is quite thick at the joint or...

Puffed up feathers, heavy breathing, staying in same spot...

But that's all I can think by reading what I have :)-- maybe with a gentler friend if she's not sick.

If she is getting trampled you should remove her. Hopefully with all the same comforts she has now until you can figure out what's wrong with her and keep her safe.

Do you have them on a sort or start and grow feed? Is she still puffy even when under the heating lamp? Is she the...

    Why are my chickens dying?

I hope the problem isn't internal paracites. 1 out of every 10 chicken poops though- I'm sure you've noticed will be brown wet and smelly- which means their systems are working fine- but this sounds different correct?

    Why are my chickens dying?

I'd bring the two inside and monitor them. See who eats what and poops what. Travel to your feed store (if I read correctly you said that you don't have chicken grain for them) and buy some food for them to eat- since they will be inside the more food they eat the more poop right? So you can see...

Injured foot- help finding problem please

I've looked for sign of bumblefoot, I don't see any scabs, callouses, or holes. The only thing that may have caused it was because the perch in the new coop they moved into (last Sunday) was quite high and the floor is wood. So I figure she might have injured her foot jumping- her being a heavy...

Injured foot- help finding problem please

Okay so my light brahma hen is limping. She stands on one foot not putting weight on the other- the injured one. Now because she's a Brahma it's hard to view her feet correctly, her legs and toes being feathered. Her foot feathers have always been broken, pulled out or missing- and it has never...
