    white spots on comb

I know this original post was years ago, but my rose comb wyandotte has this exact same too, only worse. Did you ever find out what it is? Seems there's not enough info on this exact looking white spots.

    Chicken pecks me.

100%! Several of mine peck daily for pats & hugs. And a couple stand ON my shoes.

    Broken and Mended eggs

Just an update for anyone interested in this thread about my hen laying broken & mended eggs for 1 month. I decided to administer 3cc Poultry Cell daily, to every other day, mixed in a little calcium carbonate powder. She doesn't fight the taste (bonus) and SO FAR I've seen no broken mended...

    Broken and Mended eggs

It’s fine. I inquired HERE in forum because I have seen a higher level of knowledge & moderation here, whereas the Facebook group is just horribly out of line, responds OT w/ rambles, judgey etc. 🥴

    Broken and Mended eggs

No need for rudeness. I am looking for knowledge, not an exhausting discord. I replied “The feed is pellets, (see screenshot) AND I sent the manufacturers link which has all info.

    Broken and Mended eggs

Thank You for the Q’s! I sat in coop this morning til I learned it’s Barred Rock 21 months old. She verbally strained. Today’s egg is just Jumbo and not misshapen, but new today is some white on shell (“calcium coated”…another shell gland sign) Does not rub off. See pics. Light molt this fall...

    Broken and Mended eggs

A hen is consistently laying broken and mended eggs for 4 weeks, which are larger than normal. I read these are caused by disturbances during calcification, but no longer believe that standard response, since it’s ongoing, and our flock is all all amiable with each other. Oyster shell is...

    Broken and mended eggs

I came here looking for some wisdom regarding "broken and mended" eggs. Like the original poster, my hens too, get oyster shell and crushed eggshells. I haven't identified which hen yet, but it's happened for 3 days in a row, same shape egg, and same jumbo size. Does anyone have some...

    Feed Tests - More Results

@Kiki Thank you for tagging me in this. As an herbalist, I've been thinking, man, somebody needs to do some 3rd party testing about all this! My hens were on every brand that the viral videos said were sneakily reduced in l-lysine, methionine, and for having toxic high levels of glyphosates...

Do you free range your chickens?

My dozen have an 8x20 run that's a hardware cloth 'fortress', and I open their run door daily to let them into a big yard that we enclosed with tenax 7' deer fence & t-posts, and then put some taller posts in the middle, and did aerial netting over 3/4 of it (trees are in the unnetted area). I...
