    Tail feather loss?

    I noticed about two weeks ago that one of my hens started losing tail feathers. Then today I notice that one of the others is starting to lose tail feathers. I don't relly know what is causing this or if it's even normal. Any comments would be great!

    Seems like everytime I buy feed I come home with "chicken du jour" Pretty soon my wife is going to make me sleep in the coop. Well, at least it's soft and dry out there! LOL

    Need help with a name!

    I am stumped with thinking of a name for my new Turken hen. This could be lots of fun for all of us! Here is a picture. I was thinking "Fugly" but that is a little mean. I think she is an Ameraucanas cross because of the markings and green legs. Any suggestions?

    My chicks are 6 weeks and the older chickens are 4 months. The older chickens are almost full grown. There is a big difference in size! I still have everybody on starter feed.
