Can any of these be Rhode Island Reds?

Thanks! Good to know! I then probably will advice people not to buy them from me and maybe I'll get to see what they turn out when big.

non of our EEs have green legs - one has light yellow, almost white and others have yellow. https://picasaweb.google.com/103416668636865771123/Chickens201102?authkey=Gv1sRgCOvj4ejYjL2AEA&feat=directlink#5624866691299169458 - this is last years picture, they are adult laying hens now.

Can any of these be Rhode Island Reds?

When I was looking for fertile RIR eggs, I went to a farm where the lady said she had some. While there, I found out that while hens are RIRs, they were staying with white roo almost up until I got there. So I only got 1 doz eggs from that farm and also used my eggs (mixed breeds, mostly Easter...

    Deep litter method

Our chickens roost well above the floor and I also add shavings and hay pretty often (used to be about 5-6 times a week until I ran out of hay now) and there is no ammonia smell in there. Everything feels dry. So... still not sure if I should turn the bedding.

    Deep litter method

And what is the reason for us to want it to break down faster?

    Deep litter method

So what is the reason the bedding in deep litter should be turned/aerated? Thanks!

    Deep litter method

Thanks! Mine don't seem to turn it much, that is why I am asking. I could sprinkle sprouts (that I feed in the morning) so they would scratch more... but under roosts there is very thick layer of hay/shavings.

    Deep litter method

This was probably discussed already... can someone link me to the post? Does the [deep litter] bedding need to be turned/mixed regularly and why if it does? At the moment we use hay and pine shavings. Thanks!

Feeding and taking care of a donkey (?)

Quote: so donkeys can't get any treats? that website I mentioned above said "You could include horse treats, apples and carrots into their diet, but use sparingly." http://www.pamarosapond.com/care.htm Why does he have to get fixed or you mean he will bleed if he does not get fixed? (???)

Feeding and taking care of a donkey (?)

Quote: so we can't give him broccoli one day and apple the other day? or do you mean on pellets? if he gets them, he has to get them everyday?

Feeding and taking care of a donkey (?)

I told my landlord right away (the day I saw donkey here) that they are herd animals and that he needs a friend... I don't think he'll get anyone soon besides us and the chickens. My landlord was not able to answer my question if the donkey is fixed or not (I asked the first day too).

Feeding and taking care of a donkey (?)

Quote: what kind of job? I think he was initially meant to be a guarding donkey, but 1) he is young, 2) there is no perimeter fence (my chickens do get out to the road). Can a donkey be taught to walk by the owner on a leash... to make a trail, for example?

Feeding and taking care of a donkey (?)

Thanks to everyone for all your answers so far! He is not on grass. Don't have pictures yet. We are in NY, about an hour from NJ border, probably. Bold spots are not red, that is for sure. I'll try to take pictures, if I find time. I have no idea on shots. If it is not required by law, I would...
