Taking A Break from Horses... Advice

So I took a break from horses about four months ago even though I own two of them myself. Don't worry I still take care of them, just I can't seem to get back into them. I feel awful because my 7 year old (green) arabian loves attention and loves being around me, but I just can't seem to want to...

*WANTED* DUCKLINGS Preferrably Cayuga, Ancona, and/or Pekin

I am currently looking to expand my flock of ducks, sadly I only have rescued males and I'm looking for females or ducklings to raise. I have two male pekins, a Rouen, and a runner duck that is blind in one eye. I do have experience with ducks and I'm currently building a larger pen with a 10 x...

Leg Paralysis in Silver Laced Wyandotte: ONLY Affecting the SLW's

Hi Anna69, I'm sorry about your hen. We never found out exactly what happened, but we did put them down. They started to sit there with their necks flopped to one side and wouldn't eat or drink. I hope your hen is better and you found a way to help her.

    Horse Tack Help Needed!!!

I guess it is a tie-down, but I've seen others call them cinch connectors. Anyway, the kind I have resembles http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015THNRT4/ref=nav_timeline_asin?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Except it doesn't have the tie down piece.

    Horse Tack Help Needed!!!

I have an issue with my western breast collar... It's missing the cinch connector, so I can barely ride with my breast collar. Anyway I ordered a cinch connector offline, 18" (16" when buckled). It doesn't fit ! Yay me! So I started to search around and I can't find a 20", 22" or a 24" cinch...

Ducks Wanted: Blue Ancona Ducks and/or Cayuga Ducks

Hello, I'm looking for Blue Ancona duck eggs/ducklings or Cayuga ducks/ducklings. I am willing to wait until May for any ducklings, but I would rather get hatching eggs before than. I'd want 8 eggs of each breed. Thank You

Leg Paralysis in Silver Laced Wyandotte: ONLY Affecting the SLW's

In some birds it affects one, and in others it's affecting both... Also, they seem to be losing one or two scales... I have no idea why... And if it helps, they were laying (top side only) soft shelled eggs a few weeks before they got sick. We tried to get them to eat oyster shells, boiled eggs...

Leg Paralysis in Silver Laced Wyandotte: ONLY Affecting the SLW's

I have a flock of SLW's, Rhode Island Reds, some random breed from Tractor Supply, and Ameraucana's. Out of this flock 5 of my SLW's out of 7, are all showing the same symptoms as the ones that cannot move their legs. The symptoms seem to be the same, no eggs, leg swelling, dragging that leg...

My first hatch... had to amputate a silver laced wyandotte chick's leg... feeling sad now....

Which part? The leg condition before-hand or the amputation? Am I a bad person??

My first hatch... had to amputate a silver laced wyandotte chick's leg... feeling sad now....

Am I mean? I amputated a chick's (three days old) left leg just a couple minutes ago due to slipped tendon that ,despite four hours daily for it's first days, was getting worse. (BTW this is with one handed typing because every time I set it down in the towel on my lap it will chirp extremely...

HELP!! My chickens aren't able to keep their heads up!

They are about 3 and 1/2 months old, and no new ones have been recently added. Their poop looks fine (I put them in a separate area, just incase) and they aren't puffed up. Their necks are actually hanging, like they can't move it, so I think it is wry neck... I can't be sure though. It seems...
