    Impacted Crop?

It seems to be higher up and to the right of the neck that is bulging. when i feel around there is nothing felt but feathers. The head is being carried more to the left of the body which i why i am unsure if it is actually a crop issue and not a pain one. the picture is from straight down.

    When Will They Lay?

Mine started laying between 5 and 6 months old. If they are going through molting egg production slows down, but mine haven't stopped laying yet.

    cut grass for litter/bedding?

I tried cut grass with my ducks as well, and it gets wet, and smelly very quickly and no longer absorbs. Pine straw is a good free alternative if you have any pine trees on your property. i use a mix of pine straw until I run out and shavings the rest of the time.

    Duck house floor

I did the same with a play house. I raised it off the ground with cinder blocks and a pallet so the wood won't rot being on the ground, it gives the added benefit of a shady spot that they like to hang out underneath. Then added a plywood floor and dollar store stick on vinyl tiles. The tiles...

What to put in duck run?

I used sand at first in half of my pen and have found even picking up the poop daily and raking it, it ends up wet, and very smelly (especially near the water). The other half of my pen is pine straw and that has worked well for areas that are not directly under the water. The house has pine...
