So it's been a while and I thought I would give an update on my little blind one.
Not sure if it's male or female but it's starting to feather out so things are going good to say the least!
It eats and drinks on its own still and has grown to the same size as it's incubated siblings.. doing...
Well I'm sad to say I came home to a very struggling baby. Not quite sure what happened but little splits struggled for a few hours and then it just died. I'm just glad the little one isn't suffering any longer.. My little blind one (wonder) is just thriving!! The other one (spins) is walking on...
I'm going to keep the 3 special needs together and document their growth and how I am able to get them to thrive! I'm in love. They all hear my voice and are ready to get to me. I hold them and they just sleep in my hand can't wait tonsee what they grow into!
I officially have a little black walking silkie and a little yellow walking frizzle!! They are still splinted but are pretty good with their coordination! I have to say I didn't think any of them would make it.
Also wanted to update you on my blind one. It finally figured out where the food and...
Thank you for your continued support. After putting a splint on little yellows feel and addi by the wash cloth we had a standing baby this am. Fell into the water dish but recovered!!! That one will stay in my special needs area for a while. Not really sure how to handle my little blind baby...
Update! I now have 3 walking drinking earring babies! The other one I decided you splint and overnight she is up! (Or he) I'm hand feeding and watering the blind one... I can't give up on it. The straight legged one is called splay legged too i guess. Still falling over but handling business!

The blind one is a challenge though. i have introduced food and water to them and splits took right away.. going full throttle...

Hello again! I thought introduction was proper.. you all rock and make me feel super welcome to be here!!!! Excited to start learning more and becoming more experienced so I can help others the way you all have helped me!!!!!
so out of my hatched 15. 12 are completely normal. There are 3 special needs babies... We have covered 2 the last one just has its feet stuck out front of it. they arent to the side or doing the splits. but it wont hold a standing up stance. is there something i can do for that. any special...
Well I more for certain there is only one eye but the one eye opens at least partially it just doesn't seem like it opens enough to see which makes me nervous about it drowning in the water dish
Also concerned about the same thing with the other spraddled leg chick. Should I make them a special area
I went ahead and put 2 into the broader. They are walking around just fine with no problems. I kept 3 in the bator the spread legged one. The one eyed one and one that I just want to be able to observe because it isn't as active as the other 2. Well it seems to struggle a little with walking.
I...
When I checked this am it looked like the chick was doing the splits. Spraddled legs or whatever. I do have 3 very normal looking and acting chicks in the same incubator. If the chick is sick could the other chicks in the incubator have It? I don't want to put them in with my other chicks that...
