  • Oct. 29th, Alex from Funny Feather Farm brought me some silkies hoping he had brought me 2 hens born in July. Sadly after DNA testing we discovered that we had a boy and girl. At the end of Nov, I had 3 roos crowing and trying to be fair to my neighbors and to my roos. Tiny and Eeny plus the unnamed Black Silkie Roo migrated to a rooster sanctuary on Dec. 2nd.

The lady who owns the sanctuary had a little boy who was thrilled to have a new silkie roo who he named Fluffy. It has been weird not hearing the boys crow. Our neighbor was using them as a alarm clock, he was a little sad when we told him that we had to send them to the farm. Its been a long 2 weeks without them.
Looking like I have 2 roos and a hen. Boys are gonna migrate to the farm when they start crowing. :( No theyre not being culled/eaten, theyll be getting ladies. Just gotta find a new lady for Miney lol Been tossing around the idea of getting a incubator and some eggs and trying my luck on hatching.
On July 29th we traveled down to Wilton, CA to pick up these pretty babies. Getting them trained to going up the ramp and cuddles. Theyve been so much fun so far!
