    Vent gleet? Prolapse? Egg binding?

Thanks for the help so far! Now Ma doesn’t have a prolapse I noticed clear fluid dripping from her for a few day…she’s definitely lost weight and looks very raggedy. My poor baby. The skin around her vent looks like white sandpaper. We picked up som vent spray to see if that helps. I’m very...

    Vent gleet? Prolapse? Egg binding?

Thank you so much for your feedback! We’ve been soaking her every day and it seems to help. Is it common for a prolapse to move in and out throughout the day? She has been laying daily again and has been defecating but her stools are loose at times. I will definitely try some ointment like you...

At what age is it ok to hold my chicks?

We will definitely be handling them now that I know it’s ok. I limit it, just to keep the chilling to a minimum. Most of them seem pretty ok with us around them, some hop into our hands etc. I’m in LOVE! They are so adorable... ❤️❤️❤️Thanks for the feedback! Much appreciated. 😊

Hi! I have 6 new chicks they are approximately 10 days old. They are basically pets. I have heard a lot of mixed feedback about handling them. Some people say not for a couple weeks, some say right away....I know you don’t want them to get too chilled but can’t I hold them a few minutes to...

Broad spectrum antibiotic to have on hand?

We’ve kept an eye on the vents for caking and they are all clear, the poop looks normal to me. Maybe she is just still adjusting. Thank you. 💛

Help! My three-day old chicks are not drinking their water.

We brought chicks home 3 days ago, I have a waterer with the nipple valve and my chicks immediately used it. Maybe yours are used to one of these type of waterers? Good luck!

Broad spectrum antibiotic to have on hand?

Hi everyone! My 4 day chicks are here! I am new to the chicken community but have wanted them FOREVER. One of our little ladies looks like she may be under the weather. She is standing very wobbly and under the heat panel often while the others are running around eating and drinking...
