Does keeping a male lamb intact make them grow any bigger or quicker than castrated lambs? I plan to take some to the locker this fall for meat and did not know if keeping them intact or castrating would make them grow bigger.
I have some lambs i intend to slaughter in the fall. However i was wondering if i had to castrate the lambs. If i don't will there be a strange taste to the meat? I've read it either way was fine but wasn't for sure.
What types of grains are best for sheep. I would like to make my own grain mix for them to get some weight on them. If anyone has a good mix let me know or if you just make a list of grains that would be perfect. I feed mine mostly on pasture and hay but was wanting to add to their diet.
