Chip has been making me a little anxious with those tail feathers... born 4/19/16, pictures taken today, so almost 19 weeks old. You folks are so good at this..... boy or girl? (The other two chickens are same-age -- a production red and another EE that seems reasonably girlish to me.)

I have three hens and one nest box with pine shavings. The girls kick them out a little, but I just add a new handful once a week or so.

According to "Raising Chickens for Dummies" (a useful book with an embarrassing title) - it takes 2.5 hours.

Sausage is so pretty and that's a gorgeous blue egg! I'd feel great if our 22 week EE started laying that color!
