I have suspected this breeder has mareks in her line for some time, if this hen passes she is going in for sure.

So we were given a hen by a woman who no longer wanted her as she was to loud, she did a lot of squawking very vocal happy gal
She went broody & started moulting kinda at the same time... Her broodieness was hard to break but we managed in the broody breaker!

Eagles will carry the food away... Hawks on the other hand... Crush it right there than eat it right there... & yes they eat all the breast first, than move on to the innards...
So it was likely a hawk, it will be back.. & sooner rather than later.. You can however hang CDs shinny tinfoil bits...

When the chicken is just gone.... It's a bird of pray, always!
Everything else leaves a trail of feathers... Coons pluck as they go, wheasel type critters usually go in at night, kill the entire flock.. Draining them of blood ripping heads off & pitting them in straight lines.

If ur teating with a topical anti-b & you have her on something I'm or oral I wouldn't worry about bandaging if she is separated out & not bothering with it.
