Since than I have come to find the bald eagle is teaching it's eaglet how to hunt chickens! & yes the eagle is that big... It's wing span is just under 4'5 I know this because it crashed down my entire netting...

    Eagles will carry the food away... Hawks on the other hand... Crush it right there than eat it right there... & yes they eat all the breast first, than move on to the innards... So it was likely a hawk, it will be back.. & sooner rather than later.. You can however hang CDs shinny tinfoil bits...

    Coon... The first thing they do is rip the head off. Was there a trail of plucked feathers leading to the caucus? If u still have the body put it in the trap. It will come back for the rest!
