    Old English? What color?

I bought 2 pullets when they were about 8 weeks old (they we hatched the beginning of March) I was told that they were old English game bantams but they seem way too big to be bantams. Maybe they are standard size old English? I'm not sure how much they weigh but they are about the size of my...

My hen is having trouble laying eggs

Thank you for the help. Actually, she was hatched in my yard, so I'm sure she's only 10 months and I'm not sure how long she stopped laying for...my daughter thinks it's been at least 3 months maybe 4...longer than our other hens.

My hen is having trouble laying eggs

My silver Phoenix hen seems to have trouble laying her eggs and the eggs come out kind of pointed and speckled. (She's about 10 month old). She stopped laying for a couple of months, but now she's laying again but not as frequently as the other hens. It takes her a long time to lay her eggs...

    Rabbits!

Also, if you're going to feed them, mix the goats milk with kitten formula......if you look online, you can find out what ratio of goat milk to formula to give them.

    Rabbits!

Is the buck with the babies? If he is, you need to separate them. I'd bottle feed the thin one....but just because she's moving away doesn't mean she's not nursing them. She won't let them nurse all the time. The only sure way to know if they are nursing is if their bellies are plump and they...

    Rabbits!

Are you sure she's not nursing? They only nurse once or twice a day so you may not see her do it. Did they bellies look plump or were they looking very skinny?

    Rabbits!

thank you for your help! It's hard to say if her coat is glossy....she was a bit run down when we got her...wasn't being taken care of well...she also had fur mites....they are gone now. The fur on her head does look a bit shiny.

    Rabbits!

I have a doe and her kit that I'm trying to identify the breed. I got her from a pet store that said she was mini Rex but she doesn't have the right fur. She was pregnant when we got her. The kit is 2 and a half weeks and has longer fur, short ears and a square head. [/IMG]

When do I need to remove my second rooster from flock?

So should I put one in a cage or enclosure, for now, until I find a home for him? I'm still looking for a home.

When do I need to remove my second rooster from flock?

. During the day, they roam in my backyard. They stay in the coop at night, but it's not very big....I don't know the exact measurements. For the last 2 nights, they haven't wanted to go in the coop....

When do I need to remove my second rooster from flock?

I have 5 chickens: 2 pullets (13 weeks) silver phoenix, 2 cockerels (13 weeks) -1 is a silver Phoenix and the other is a silver Phoenix and Easter egger (or Americauna ) cross, and 1 bantam hen who hatched and raised the others. When do I need to separate the roosters? One is aggressive and...

    Hen or Rooster?

I have a silver Phoenix, Americauna cross (at least that's what I was told she was)that I thought was a hen, but she recently started crowing. She is about 13 weeks old. She doesn't look like a rooster to me but she fights with my rooster (from the same clutch, he's a pure silver Phoenix), and...
