    got our first egg from this beauty today. She pecked a hole in it before we found it. Is this a concern?

    Pecking at eggs can turn birds into egg eaters, its basically a bad habit they develop. Make sure to collect eggs as often as possible and leave fake eggs in the nest boxes, this helps them learn eggs can be impenetrable.
