Part of my jobs to do this year is to beautify my chook pen because its becoming very worrying...

They already have a dust pit that they used to use but they've recently started digging up the grass and making new holes. The ground now looks like a scene from the movie "Holes". If you haven't seen it, just imagine the chickens have been digging for gold in every bit of space available.
Probably just obtain the roosters and use the hens we already have. At the moment all of the hens live in one big area together, but I was thinking of making a coop for the rooster + 'x' amount of hens.

Recently my chooks have been scratching and making holes in the grass that they then lay in.
Normally this wouldn't worry me, except they have a dirt pit that they usually do their scratching/sleeping in.
Should this change worry me? Or does it mean something?
