I had a little chick with a twisted beak, I tried everything and thought it was doing ok. Then, one morning it was dead. I was crushed. I hate to say it but don't let it suffer, my mom was right I should of just killed it. Sorry but it will be better off.
We have about 100 and I'm looking for designs for feeding and watering a large number of birds. Anyone have larger flocks? I would love to see your designs!!

Thanks for the info, I love this place. Mine are free ranging and have hidden before, Maybe I should look harder or keep them in longer. Here in Colorado Springs the days have gotten shorter and the temps have been all over the place. That was what I attributed to the low production.

We have a house in Santee and are looking to move back. Right now we have 5 acres Colorado and about 100 chickens. I have love my chicks and was thinking about bringing some back to CA, but ... How many chicken can you have in Santee???
I got 2 little cups ( from instant tea) and used wire ties to tie them to the side of the cage and filled them with a warm mash. He/she is going crazy eating! the only thing is he shakes his head and little bits are flying everywhere. Thanks so much to all the advice. BYC is a great forum!
I have got a 6 week old Sultan that is determined to live. As you can see by the picture his beak is getting worse, we didn't notice it at first. He was always the first at the feeder and wasn't afraid to be picked up. I know now he is starving and feel very bad about that. He is in a cage with...
