We have a lovely silkie Mammy and a 7 week old chick. we left them in a part of the coop that is sectioned off by chicken wire. Everything was just like clockwork and Mammy and chick are grand. Yesterday was their first time outside and again it was just lovely.

She may be broody as I have taken her eggs away from her a few weeks ago.
We didnt want her to have chicks this year.
We are wanting her to have her chicks next year in spring .

My duck lays her eggs in the place where she sleeps.
I think it's too cold here in Ireland for her to have little chicks just yet. I thought maybe
July or August when it's warmer and she can do everything naturally.
