    My chicken has a bald patch on her bottom. I can’t tell if she pulled out the feathers or if her abdomen is swollen, or both. She is 5 months old and 2 of my three chickens just started laying(I’m not sure if she is one of them). Here is a pic, her vent is just above my top finger.

    Coop planning in New England

    Coop update: I added vents between the rafters and a solar powered fan. Chicks seem to like it so far! I’m still going to install a nesting box on this side. They have oregano, lavender and sunflowers growing in their garden.

    Help! I am brand new to chickens and I just moved my 4 pullets out to their 3x5 coop. I put two bags of horse pellets in the bottom and it’s 2-3 inches deep. (I have enough space for 6 inches of litter) How do I clean it? Do I try and pick the poop out? Mix it into the pellets? Keep adding more...
