    out of the 20, 3 hatched. I did purt a rag in the box, shortly after taking this pic. and paper strips from my shredder. I installed a heat lamp as well, and a feeder and a water bottle. (I've hatched quail eggs before) the three hatchlings are doing fine. Thanks for the replies!

    Another Guinea question

    In an earlier post I ask if the guineas would accept the keets I hatch out in my incubator. and the answer is no. SO the six Guineas I purchased have laid about 8 eggs now. My question is, if and when these hatch, do I need to remove the keets ir will there natural "parents" tkae care of them?

    Here is where mine is set. it stays at 99 to 100 degrees. Give it about a day to settle when you make a change.

    The temp in my Hovabator was at 100 even. and the humidity at 60. I lowered the temp and it dropped to 97. so I raised it again this morning, but not to its original setting.hopefully to 99degrees.How important is 1 or 2 degrees difference?     Not to hi jack this thread, but I just placed 20 guinea eggs in my hovabator. what should the humidity be maintained at, (if possible) and should I wet the sponge and add water to the bottom of the incubator. it does have an egg turner in it as well.     Freezeing eggs

    I have heard the you can put a pin hole in an egg and this will allow you to freeze it. Is this true? and if so, How do you get the pin hole in it? with out craking the shell.
