We are going to sprinkle some flour around the coop and see what tracks are made.

It could be a dog, but it also stole a fake ceramic egg out of one of the nesting boxes, and a rock shaped like an egg out of another nesting box...??

Something is getting into the coop and stealing the eggs from the nesting boxes. It has even taken our fake ceramic eggs that we used to teach the new chicks where to lay. What would do this and not kill the chickens??

I have a broody hen who is very persistent. I want to provide her with some fertilized eggs that she can hatch, and maybe it will get this broodiness out of her system! We don't have a rooster -- just laying hens. Does anyone have any hatching eggs available in the Cumming, GA area?

I know that the cream colored chicks are Ameraucanas, but I don't know what the black ones are. They have feathers on their legs and feet, if that helps? Also, what are the brown ones -- two of the brown ones are the same shade, and one is a darker brown? Overall, there are three cream...

Yes, she is the alpha now, since a hawk took out the original alpha about a month ago. That was another reason why I had suspicioned 'she' might be a 'he'.

Picked up 2 cuckoo marans yesterday!! Some strange math going on here... So, I think it is 19,313 + 2 = 19,315 (feel free to correct me)

My son gave me 6 more "hens" from TSC a couple of months ago, and I am suspicious that two of them might be roosters. Can someone please let me know if these two "she's" are really "he's"?? Thank you!!
