What will steal a fake egg??

Something is getting into the coop and stealing the eggs from the nesting boxes. It has even taken our fake ceramic eggs that we used to teach the new chicks where to lay. What would do this and not kill the chickens??

My dogs have done that. They have been taught not to mess with the chickens, but will sneak in the open coop, while the girls are out free ranging, to steal eggs.

It could be a dog, but it also stole a fake ceramic egg out of one of the nesting boxes, and a rock shaped like an egg out of another nesting box...??

One of my bassetts carried a fake wooden egg around the yard and brought it up under a tree. I assume she planned to gnaw on it, but I got to it before she started chewing. I've taken a couple slobber covered eggs from her. I need to put a barrier over the chicken door to keep her out. It only has to be a few inches tall. She's old and short legged. The chickens can just hop over it.
Smart move with the flour. Let us know what you find out.
