I'm dispatching my roos, and as I'm de-feathering this one, these weird things come out of the feather follicles. Do I have parasites? Do I need to treat my hens?
She's a hobbyist, so they weren't guaranteed. But she said she might still have some girls I can trade for. The other breeds I got from her were "straight run", I ended up with two female and four male Marans, and the Americaunas are just enough younger that they all still look the same
The black spots on her feet, is it dirt that washes off, or does it seem more like a wart or mole? If the spots are more wart/mole like, then part of the problem is bumble foot. This requires a relatively easy home surgery
I have a mixed flock of 10 hens and 2 pullets. My 1 and only Russian Orloff hen has been lethargic for several days. I noticed her limping a few days ago, and her tail is tucked down. I haven't noticed any eggs from her for a few days. Does being egg bound cause limping? What other things...
I have 10 assorted hens, an 8'x8' coup, and a run that is at least 50% bigger than the coup. Can I ad three ducks to the mix, or will they fight or get each other sick?
