    Is this a parasite?

I'm dispatching my roos, and as I'm de-feathering this one, these weird things come out of the feather follicles. Do I have parasites? Do I need to treat my hens?

Male or female? 8 week old Welsummer

She's a hobbyist, so they weren't guaranteed. But she said she might still have some girls I can trade for. The other breeds I got from her were "straight run", I ended up with two female and four male Marans, and the Americaunas are just enough younger that they all still look the same

Male or female? 8 week old Welsummer

Bummer, the lady I got my chicks from said welsummers could be sexed as day old chicks by feather pattern and was sure they'd be girls.

    Limping, lethargic, tail down.

Would the heat explain the limping?
  6. JenniferV2003

(Pictures). Chicken lethargy, droopy comb, runny droppings and more :( Please help if you can!

The black spots on her feet, is it dirt that washes off, or does it seem more like a wart or mole? If the spots are more wart/mole like, then part of the problem is bumble foot. This requires a relatively easy home surgery

    Limping, lethargic, tail down.

I checked her feet, they look fine. I have had some bumble foot issues before, and they weren't nearly this pathetic

    Limping, lethargic, tail down.

I have a mixed flock of 10 hens and 2 pullets. My 1 and only Russian Orloff hen has been lethargic for several days. I noticed her limping a few days ago, and her tail is tucked down. I haven't noticed any eggs from her for a few days. Does being egg bound cause limping? What other things...

Can I keep muscovy ducks in the same coup and run as my chickens?

I have 10 assorted hens, an 8'x8' coup, and a run that is at least 50% bigger than the coup. Can I ad three ducks to the mix, or will they fight or get each other sick?

    Delaware male or female?

Ooo fantastic, I can hardly wait to stop buying eggs AND feed (Ok with buying feed if I don't have to buy eggs)

    Delaware male or female?

I have 3 Delawares, this is the only one with a red comb, the other two have pale pink combs. This is my first year with chickens, so I don't know how to tell the difference. My Easter Egger roo is looking very cocky (haha), but is comb color enough of an indicator? What about the black...

What gender is this Barred Rock?

They are 18 weeks, my concern is that I have 2 Barred Rocks, one has a pink comb, this has a red comb.
