he in malta we have a local shop which stocks eggs for hacthing at very good prices, for things like geese swans and several kinds of fancy chickens, so getting myself a new batch is no problem... Im in no hurry, especially since id better be focusing on my A levels right...
my bantams are late too :/ they should have hatched two days ago and im worried it was a bad idea to stop turning on day 19 because now there must have been several eggs which were still underdeveloped and needed to be turned :( i candle them often and a few of them seem far behind others, but...
hello everyone.
ive recently misplaced the temperature probe of my incubator and left it outside the box, meaning the thermostat never detected excess temperature, leaving the eggs to heat up... i realized after about three hours and i never got to know what temperature was reached until i...
I tried it on both of my eggs. One of them, the one which has been incubating for four days longer than the other one, is making the high pitched "tlink" sound when i tap it with the metal on the sides. The ends give a more low pitched sound. Where there is the air bubble, the sound is like a...

One of my eggs is on day 53, and i stopped turning it and raised the humidity. When i lay it on a flat smooth surface it rolls quickly onto one side, precisely the opposite of how it was placed in the incubator, as if the air sac moved to the eggs bottom side o.O i can hear absolutely nothing...
OMG thank you so much! I have calipers so i can try it! According to the graphs ive seen posted, ill try to figure out where i should be since theyre about halfway through... Again thanks!

To be safe, I'll leave the thermostat at 35.5 degrees from now on, and i will start to check the weights of the eggs to see how water they're losing... Again i seriously hope i havent killed both chicks... The controller i use is the STC-1000
Dear god im in trouble... One of them has been incubating since the 4th of january, and the other since the 8th... I removed the water and im going to reduce the temperature to 36degrees celsius... I hope its not too late
