    Buff Orpington gender issues

I have a Buff Orpington who I though was hen, but now I'm not so sure. "she" just started trying to crow last week, and is about 10 weeks old. Here's a pic. Male, Female, or is it still too early to tell?

Is this Cocci? Worms? Foul Pox?? What is going on?

Corid can be given to all the birds safely, even if they don't have Cocci :) Just follow up with some vitamins AFTER treatment :)

Is this Cocci? Worms? Foul Pox?? What is going on?

Sorry I missed all of this! I wish I had some advice for you, but all I have is support. The spots on her comb do look like fowl pox, which should run it's course in a few weeks and go back to normal. I would also treat for Cocci with Corid.

    EMERGENCY! BABY CHICK DYING!!

Sorry to hear of this happening, but bless you for trying to help this poor little chick! I'm not really sure what's going on with the chick. It could be any number of things. Unfortunately it sounds like he may already be on his way out :( Just make sure to keep him warm, and try to give...

Six week old chicken has swollen area above eye- UPDATE

I would think that would be a good antibiotic to treat with. I would separate her for the duration of the treatment though. I'm not 100% sure, but I wouldn't treat the rest of them unless their showing respitory symptoms. Hope that helps! :)

    New outbreak! Help!

My suggestions would be Infections Laryngotracheitis, Aspergillosis, or Equine Encephalitis (which commonly affects chickens despite the name). Check out this link to symptom checker chart and description of common poultry illnesses and see if any of those match. Hope this helps...

    Bloody Stool Please Help!

I'd imagine that cocci is far more likely than NE. I'd look up the full range of symptoms on each and see which fits better. I would definitely get going with the corrid though :)

    Bloody Stool Please Help!

Medicated feed and Corrid do not need to be given together because they have the same medicine (amprolium) in them, just in different amounts. I've give all of your birds the corrid just to be on the safe side. If they don't have cocci, it WON'T harm them to have the corrid in their water. Do...
