I don't have geese yet but impatiently waiting for my breeder pair from celtic oaks this spring. I do hatch call ducks though and I babytalk too and ccheer them on when they are hatching. It is soooooooooooooooo exciting to watch them develop and see them hatch. I can't wait until I hatch out...
When I first got into call ducks a couple of years ago I had a hard time finding them also, but quickly learned why you can't find ducklings. I bought half of my stock from Hollderread, they only ship adult ducks in the fall and you have to get on a waiting list like now. Once you own these...
My flipper passed away sadly. Thats why I was wondering if maybe he was on his back too long before I found him and flipped back on his belly, cause shortly after he passed. I have spent all week hatching out four calls and how exhausting but worth it. I have to stay up and keep an eye on...
I love my calls!!!! They are very entertaining even in the winter. My Butterscotch calls slide around on their bellies like a penquin after a fresh snow fall and go sliding down the hill in our yard, It is awesome. I have other ducks also but none have the personality like these guys. They may...
I had a call duckling keep flipping on his back, if left for any amount of time can this harm them? I woke up every hour through thhe night just to check on him and now wish I had seen the bowl and papertowel info. I stayed home too cancelled all appt. and everything.

OMG!!!!! I am so happy for you! I hope I am on that gosling list! I cant wait to get my own and watchthis happen. Hatching eggs is such a miracle to me they have everything they need inside that egg without being attached to a mother. It is simply amazing!!!
I have some that have been frozen and I dont bother withthose but as of right now I have four developing nicely out of about 16 eggs. i have been going to the coop several times a day to get the eggs but unless i am right there when they lay I am sure some are getting cold enough to kill the...
Thanks for the info I will do some homework. I only have three pairs right now and this is my first year incubating my own eggs instead of buying them. I got sick and tired of wasting my money buying eggs and having them shipped. They are hard to hatch to begin with and then you add shipping and...
I have a Brinsea eco advance but my call ducks are producing more than it can handle and I was wondering what everybody else uses for their call ducks??? Or what would be the best incubator for call duck eggs?? Thanks
