Awesome, thank you. Those legs threw me and there's nothing in the picture with which to gauge size. I'm happy regardless - he's a gorgeous little creature. Now hopefully I can catch the bugger.
Yup. More than likely QH or cross. Very typical QH face and build. Where did you get her? Through a rescue org, kill pen, or? If she's a kill pen horse I can almost guarantee she's QH. I'd estimate 80%+ of the horses that come through the lots up here are QH or QH cross.
I love our little Pittie mix! His name is Boshi, his momma was a pitbull and his daddy was a blue heeler. We rescued him about two months ago and he is just the sweetest, smartest little dude... He's even happy at the vet :)
Hi All - I did some searching but can't find anything that reflects exactly what is going on with this chick. I've got 5 babies with a broody, I last saw all of them yesterday morning and everyone was active and fine. I checked them last night but most were snuggled under momma hen so I didn't...
Argh... Now I feel awful that I waited so long to post but I'm glad I did. I'll read through the link more extensively (thank you for sharing that) and start treating. After a quick read through I'm now wondering if this has been developing for quite some time but showing less severe signs...
Ok, I know I just posted this but I have an update... I took her out of the hospital box which is just a big rubbermaid container that I used to use for a brooder. I let her loose in one of my empty 12x12 horse stalls just to see what she'd do. She sat still for a little bit then got up and...
Hi All,
I have a Silkie hen who has been acting funny for several days now and I can't figure out what is wrong. At first I thought she was broody - She was sitting in one place and making her usual angry broody noise when I touched her. She didn't have any eggs under her but frankly that...
Thanks :) I have ridden for many many years - mainly eventing - but this is my first time training a horse (my 20 y.o.) to this level in dressage. 90% of the time I feel like I have no clue what I'm doing - the amount of knowledge you have to develop in this discipline is unlike any other type...
He'll be my next dressage horse. My FEI horse is 20 now and I hope to have one more show season with him next year. Baby will get started end of next summer and will hopefully take the reins so the other guy can slow down and semi-retire. I've tried not to get too attached to the baby in case he...
LOL yes... He is my 30 year old retired guy. He runs around with the youngster once in awhile but mostly he just ignores his antics. They are good buddies but there are definitely times when I can tell the old man is just rolling his eyes at the dumb baby
I love my Siamese! She's super loving and extremely attached to me. I will say that they can be loud. If they want something you will definitely know about it! Her "meeping" drives my SO a little crazy but I think it's adorable. They can also be needy - they like a lot of attention, the second...
Why thank you! He's quite a character. I can't wait to start him next year! I think he's going to be a very fun horse and he's got a "look at me!" attitude that I think will make him a big old show off in front of an audience :)
