    Hatched this little chick out. Parents are either birchen Cochin x birchin Cochin or birchen Cochin x black Cochin. She hatched completely yellow and now has these feathers coming in. I absolutely love them in just curious what color everyone thinks they will be.

    Opened the egg up today. It was gone. Quit a day or 2 before hatch the yolk was almost completely absorbed. 😞

    There’s been no movement or pipping. Day 22 of incubation all the other eggs have hatched. I’m really hoping it’s not but it doesn’t look good 😞

    It’s still shaking its head but it’s acting normalish for the most part. It’s keeping its eyes open and moving a bit more. Still trying to get it to eat. But I’ve been giving him raw egg yolk. I read that helps

    I got 3 of these asst bantam chicks and can’t figure out what they are. One of them looks exactly like this but has fluffy cheeks.

    I was thinking the same. She was in a bin of normal chicks but she is so tiny compared to them. She could be a runt I suppose but she’s acts normal in every way other then the way she holds her wings. I’ll definitely update when she’s bigger!

    This is her this morning… this was her this morning.. she’s very chirpy & active. Normal poop & all that just seems to hang her wings lower.

    Thanks! I was just worried she was sick. We’ve already had one die from rural king My kids were so sad. I’m hoping to not lose another.
