Bought 6 chicks from Rural king & picked out a chipmunk looking chicken but she is so much smaller then the rest & holds her wings lower… is she a bantam or is something wrong? She’s active & loud but I’ve never had a chick hold their wings so low.

I have different type of bantams. My Dutch had low wings like that when they where chicks. The bantam RIRs I have , have small wings , like you’re bigger chicks.
There are so many different breeds with just as many different characteristics.

She definitely doesn't look well. You may want to start a thread in the health forum.

Really?? I have had several chicks with weird wings. Dumpling held her wings quite low. Chirpie too, but I don't have a good photo of her as a chick. One of my OEs even had wing feathers growing outward, like angel wing in ducks. She ended up fine too. I just kind of took it as something they hold up once they are stronger.

But its not a bad idea to let the professionals take a look at her. I, for one, think its nothing to worry about.

For the OP: Below is a picture of dumpling as a chick and now.

She's hanging her head in the one as well. Could just be that exact moment, but I wasn't just looking at wings.

OP, anymore photos of her? Perhaps without her head held low?
