    I would like to get some meat birds this spring but I can’t seem to find a processor that deals with poultry. Anyone know where I can go? I willing to drive a reasonable amount.

    What size heat bulb?

    If you are looking to heat your coop with out adding the extra light on your chickens you can use a ceramic heat lamp. They sell them at Amazon.com for reptile habitats. My chickens are still young and not laying so they don’t need the extra light. I use one and it works great.

    I got my chicks from Ideal and had no problems. One died along the way but I was able to get my money back for that chick with no trouble at all. The rest are all healthy and about ready to start laying. I'm planning on ordering from them again.

    I will be moving to the area in about a week so I haven't had time to check the local feed stores. I have already tryed a few butcher shop and Salem Feed and Grain. None of them do chickens and they don't know anyone who does.

    Thank you everyone. I was just planning on selling the extras to co-workers and if I still have more selling them to neighbors. My thought was $2.00 for large eggs and form what you have said it sounds like a good price. Any of the smaller once I will sell for less. Thanks again.
