    Ivermectin has been used for chickens and all animals for over 30 years. Recently government regulations changed and want specific testing done particular to chickens and the manufacturer did not do that so they had to change the label. Vets still give it for lice and mites as they know it works.

    When you take her out of the cage put her with the flock and feed them at least 5 minutes worth of treats. It really helps for them to just be part of the group again.

    I have one little silkie that drinks all the time, she has watery poop too. She is three years old and is very healthy. I have read about it and it may be a digestive issue but if it is she is managing it very well on her own.

    How did you chickens make out. Shaking is a really bad sign. They should have more variety in their diet other than sunflowers. Also they need grit to digest, do they have access to the ground, I noticed you said they were in cages?

    Could there be a mean hen in the house. We have had a big bunch that one hen was picking on so they refused to go in. We gave the hen to a friend and no further problems.

    That is what I am wondering too, some of my hens have it and some do not. The ones that have it are easily caught by the rooster.
