Chicken Escape results in death of chicken

It was in the top, It was in the top, to keep the chickens from jumping out. Ironically, the dogs keep away any large birds or coyotes.

Chicken Escape results in death of chicken

Last night I accidently left my chickens out in the run and they escaped through a hole in the mesh wiring. All were put back into the coop except one of my golden-sexlinks, Poppy. Poppy was killed by one of my dogs

    Chickens for the Texas Heat

If you want, get some silkies. I have a black one and she is the happiest, most energetic chicken out there. The youngest by months and can stand her own against the big guys.

I watched Rufus hatch and now she layed her first egg! It's very small but she did it! I love my Rhode Island Red!

    My new Silkie babies!

After months of wanting and waiting, I was finally able to bring home some Silkies! I got a black and I'm pretty sure a white. I think the white is a roo and the black is a pullet as the white is far bigger. Oh I just love them! They have already fallen asleep on my stomach twice!

    Going back into coop

Every night I have to go into the coop and put my 8 week olds and 6 week olds into the coop. They go into the coop when I refill their food and water. They just run right in like no problem at all. But when its time for bed, the rebelious kids stay out. I locked them into the coop for 4 days...
